Maria Minor was born in Uruguay from Spanish immigrant parents. Growing up as an only child, in difficult times,  Maria learned at an early age to surrender and trust, looking at the world with complete innocence and hope.

While studying at College, Maria met her future husband and at 23 years of age immigrated to the United States of America, where she married and formed a family in the State of New York. 

After the children were old enough to move out of the home, and with her husband's encouragement,  Maria sought the opportunity to study drawing and painting and discovered her talent and aptitude for art. She sold a few paintings, took a few commissions but she wanted to create her own art her way so she decided to enroll in the Milan Art Institute and become a professional artist.

Maria is in her studio every day, creating art from her heart.Her paintings inspire peace and introspection.

In the future, Maria plans to continue with her painting and exhibit her art at several local venues.
